I draw upon many modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My goal is to provide my clients with an approach that best fits their needs. Therapy is personal and individualized, there's no one size fits all. I do believe that everyone can benefit from a non-judgmental space to process thoughts and feelings out loud- especially out loud- to combat that oh so common "over thinking." I also believe in the power of transparency and humor, so clients can feel comfortable to be themselves.
I have experience treating adolescents to younger and older adults with varying diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and personality disorders. I also work with individuals facing life transitions, job and/or relational issues, stress/burn-out, and grief. When faced with these burdens, we tend to over or under function, which can be isolating and difficult to work through. I am here to make these experiences less isolating and more empowering through connection, self-acceptance and compassion.
Additionally, I have experience as a school counselor and working with/for schools in various roles. I am passionate about trauma-informed student engagement, social and emotional learning and restorative justice and enjoy discussing, consulting on and providing training in these areas!
